There are many ways how you can redirect your domain to your GrooveFunnels affiliate link. The most common method is to redirect your existing or newly-bought domain to your GrooveFunnels affiliate link.
The main benefits of using a domain to point to your affiliate links are:
a) Convenient – Instead of having to memorize the long URL or weird characters (if you are using URL shorteners such as bit.ly, bit.do, etc), using your own domain allows you to memorize it pretty easily. In my case, I am using https://GrooveFunnelsAccess.com. Imagine on a call with someone who wants to sign up for GrooveFunnels free account, instead of having to look out for your affiliate link in your phone or laptop, you could easily tell them to go to for eg GrooveFunnelsAccess.com.
b) Professional – Using a dedicated domain name shows that you are serious about the service or product that you are recommending. While others affiliate link look something like bit.ly/gg6HY7jju, yours are simple to remember and look professional eg https://GrooveFunnelsAccess.com
I am using NameCheap to demonstrate as it is my preferred domain name registrar. It can be done with Godaddy and other domain name registrar as well.
Here’s how to do it:
Step 1: Log in to your NameCheap Account.
Step 2: Under Domain List, look out for your domain that you wish to point to your affiliate link to and click the MANAGE button.
Step 3: Click Advanced DNS tab on the top
Step 4: Log in to your GrooveFunnels account. Go to Groove Affiliate Program section to grab your affiliate link.
Step 5: Go back to your NameCheap account, Go to Host Records section, click Add New Records, select URL Redirect Record from the list that popped-up.
Under Host, enter an alias “@”, and under the column of Value, Copy and Paste your GrooveFunnels Affiliate Link here.
Click the green tick symbol on the right to save the changes.
Step 6: Next add the wildcard record. The step is pretty much the same as Step 5 above.
Select the URL Redirect Record from the dropdown, next enter an asterisk “*” symbol under the Host column and followed by your affiliate link under the Value column. Click the green tick once you are done.
Once you have done the above, your Host Records will look something like screenshot below:
There you have it. Your domain name is successfully redirected to your affiliate link.
